I am baffled why others would want other people to join their religion. Even to the point of forcing them to join on pain of death. Can anyone explain the reasoning behind that?

I think nobody should be forced to join or not to join a religion. Our thoughts and beliefs are much important and no one can change these forcefully. More often people change religion due to some major incident or something like that. Only good thoughts and beliefs can change other people.

I am a strong believer that there is one God and i am agreed with you that we should not force other people to believe a religion .If some want has no interest in the teaching of a typical religion he should be allowed to do so.

People are fighting with each other for their religion and saying our religion is best.My perception is Either to Beleive "GOD IS ONE"" or become ""ATHEIST"".So that no more fight for religion exist in this world.

If you want every one to become atheist then the fighting will not end .Every one has the right to say that he is a believer of good religion.But I think people should not fight over their religion .They must try to bring harmony among the different religion.

Why is it not a reality for people to believe there is no god?  It's a valid belief as yours IMO.   Personally I have seen no proof in any "one god" that is the creator of the earth and all that are on it. 

I find it unfortunate the people need to have a god and the threat of everlasting punishment to become good people.

This is a very long debate that there is ONE GOD.I do not have much knowledge about it and I am not a religious extremist. So I can not give my final verdict on this topic.

This is really a topic discussed in all the ages.It is unending discussion.I can not say in few words first about the existence of any God .I am not sure about it that there is a God and he is alone.I am sorry I can not say final words about God.

Yeah man i also agree about this statement "God is One" And i have a also a blind faith in this word  .Coz Whenever i m in trouble then i remember the God and always My God help me......more than i expect.......

This is extremely old and unending debate about the God.I don't see any ending of this debate in future.There are a lot of genius personalities who have said on this topic.No body has never given the final words on this topic.I also don't have final words over the God .

This is an extremely old debate on God . Some don't believe in the existence od the God and others believe that the God exists . Till now there is no final wording on this topic by the either sides .

I am not not atheist but I am confused in this matter of believing or disbelieving God . I have studied a lot on this subject but found no reasons to believe or disbelieve God .

There is always an administrator in every where in the world . There is no small or big system running on this planet with out any admin , even we have an admin here on this forum .Then how itis possible that there is no one to run the affairs of the universe .That is why I believed in God . He is one and only .

I have also great faith in these words "GOD IS ONE" . Coz i need to say that no body sees the God as human being or in moving moment everybody have a faith in those stones where man gives the artificial face of God . So It means we gives the name to God ..........and we take those differently.......!

Endlwss really endless discussion . People are fighting over this issue whether there is a God or not .Different people have different ideas .I never heard a God fighting with any other God . In my opinion there is only one God .
