Do you support the death penalty? I don't support the death penalty.  It can be argued that life-sentenced prisoners are just a waste of space, they use up tax dollars in order to be maintained, etc.  However, I am against killing another human being - despite the seriousness of the criminal offence.  I feel prisoners who goes as far as killing someone are somewhat mentally ill and need help.  I also think these murderers are punished by staying in prison and that killing them is providing them with another escape alternative.

i absolutely support the death penalty. if a person kills somebody, they are not caring about another human being so why should i care about the killer. no, i think all these human rights activists need to do some soul searching. people who kill others are not human beings. Angry Angry Angry Angry

No, that's just retribution, which really doesn't work as well as rehabilitation. I'm a believer of human rights, and I think rehabilitation works, or humane incapacitation, like jail...not anything like Sona, though, lol

As someone who worked for a state dept of corrections I can tel you that very few people get "reformed" in prison.   I support the death penalty for certain crimes.

I support for that and criminals in worst cases should be. I think it would be better if some criminal can be hanged openly because it can be a threat for other criminals. We can get control over serious crimes doing so.

Quite a while ago I was reading something online which I think was written by a psychologist.  It said 'people who would go as far as killing another human being is mentally ill' or something along those lines.  So if a murderer kills because they are not well, shouldn't they tried to be treated before we send them to their death?

You are right because a normal human can't kill another human. If we can make them goo human after a long treatment then there is nothing better than that. All of us have only one life here so we should let other people live well.

I am completely dis agree with you .Penalty is imposed on a person to make him understand that he done wrong. If as a result of any crime a person gets death penalty . what for him to understand .

Your views may be right. But in my view if a person kills an other person must be killed under the shade of law . This is called justice .If an authority imposes your views then an unstoppable killing may start.

Yes i support the death penalty in certain cases .If a criminal kills an other person with reason and with out reason  he must be summoned and must be given death penalty.

In my opinion the death penalty should not be impose on any killer. The simple reason behind this is that oenalty is awarded to make the criminal understand his act was not good,But in a serious crime other penalt yshould be given.to make him understand that he was a guilty.

I am of the view that a criminal should be dealt accordingly. If he kills some one he should must be punished in the same way. He must be awarded death penalty.

I am not agreed with you.as you said that a murder should not be hanged and should be treated in a   mental hospital. If you are going to implement such law,you will see the dragged bodies every where.
