Can we compare Bollywood movies with Hollywood movies.

Tell me guys what are your opinion about this,can we compare bollywood movies with hollywood movies.Hollywood movies are more action packed and bollwood films are based on emotions.Give your opinion.

Yes, i think we can. But what category and criteria to use for this comparision?
We have to think about geographic area as well.

1. action scenes
2. special effects
3. comedy
4. musical score
5. screenplay
6. drama

based on these i think bollywood is like earth and hollywood is the sky, thats the difference between the two.

I think that Bollywood and Hollywood are 2 completely seperate things and can't really be compared. They are both brilliant in their own rite but i think that it becomes difficult if you want to compare the 2 with eachother. Where as Bollywood goes for Quantity, they produce way more movies in a year than Hollywood. Hollywood on the Other hand prefers to spend a lot more money and produce films with bigger effects.

i couldn't compare i have only ever watch hollywood movies i never seen a bollywood movie in my life can some surgest a good one to me?

I enjoy both hollywood and bollywood movies.  I'm glad Bollywood's movies show a lot of India's art & dance...it's something I look forward to each time I watch Bollywood movies.  Is it good enough to be compared with Hollywood movies? I'd have to say: why not? It's different and many people do enjoy Bollywood movies.

Although, Hollywood movies are very "high budget" movies.  They do a lot of high quality video editing and they come up with 3D animation which means they use a whole lot of computer technology.  Whereas Bollywood movies seem to concentrate on getting popular Indian actors into the limelight (and in many cases they're just too beautiful, and they make these good looking actors shoot the movie in countries with great scenery.

I think some people would like to watch your average-looking Indian - with a lovable personality - on the big screen.

We absolutely should not. Bollywood just keeps releasing crap-flick after crap-flick, whereas with Hollywood, even though many of their productions are crappy, you do get some quality entertainment once in a while.
