American Gangster is a 2007 crime film written by Steve Zaillian and directed by Ridley Scott. The film stars Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe. Washington portrays Frank Lucas, a real-life heroin kingpin from Manhattan who smuggled the drug into the country in the coffins of American soldiers returning from the Vietnam War. Crowe portrays Richie Roberts, a detective who brings down Lucas's drug empire. Filming was done in New York, and American Gangster is slated for a November 2, 2007 release.

Is ths a remake? I'm pretty sure I've seen this film mentioned before (or maybe that was american graffiti) I don't like Russell Crowe or his attitude, remember Bafta's 2002? I don't like watching any of his films. Except Gladiator. Just.

This is an interesting movie to watch the subject of the movie is so sensitive that no body specially Americans will not going to dislike this movie.Otherwise it is just like other  movie on smugglings.But this film will attract the attention of people.

American Gangster like his name is an action movie .There should a lot of gangs involved in it and firings fightings sex suspense and other stuff that we use to see in such action movies.I think the American Gangster will be a hit action movie.

This movie will surely be remembered for a long long time because of very touchy story . I wish it wouldn't happen in real . Any way this movie is full action and ultimate thriller . I love to watch this movie again and again .
