Ok, I have a few sites that I have developed and I use html only on most of them.  I'm thinking of using some flash in them but often flash sites just annoy me.

So I'd like to hear what you all think of Flash sites?

I don't think that Flash is very annoying as long as it is used judiciously and not overdone.

In my opinions this world is world of Flash and we should make our sites more attractive with Flash graphics(Movies). I think all computers have flash players installed so there is nothing to worry about that.

To be honest Flash sites can be a bit disturbing for me too. Undecided The best thing about flash is that if the graphics is really good, it will convince the visitor to stay for a little while.  But consider this: some people might be using old systems and they might not be able to view the flash graphics.  Also, sometimes flash sites take time to load and if the visitor gets impatient they might just close the window (I find myself having to resort to that sometimes).  Make a list of the pros and cons and see which outweighs the other. Well, Flash is just a tool in a designer's toolbox. If it's not overdone and bandwidth requirements are taken in account, not to mention, the usual design considerations, flash can be very effective.
