Playstation 3 Price Cut

Sony announced that a new 40GB model will be made available to the public in a desperate attempt to gain much needed market share. But without a list of must-have titles even this move may fail to generate any momentum going into the holiday season. The way I see it, Sony over-hyped/over-priced their product in the first place. Microsoft and Nintendo will also give price cuts and that will bring Sony back to square one.

In my thoughts it is useless now because majority of people has already purchases other consoles. There are many more issue other than price like Blu Ray disks and inter portability. I have read that gamers can't share their games and one purchased game is dedicated to one user only. I think it can take several years for PS3 to get some position.

hmm ... and for that we have to spend lots of money on it to buy this ps3.
PS3  is really very expensive as per the servey through which i had seen.
