What would be your choice? I am not a traveling guy so I don't like Laptops. I know these might be very helpful for travelers. I like to work on my 17" Monitor and my desktop system. You can say that I am addicted to it. What is your choice?

regardless of whether you are traveling or no, i think laptops are better just because of the mobility they provide. i only use my desktop if i am in the mood to play games. otherwise i use my laptop for everything else.

I actually use both. I travel a lot so my laptop is indispensable. I also use it at home on the couch with wireless a lot. But I have a desktop that I use for more intensive things and has the printer, scanner, etc. in it.

Laptop is best and because of its mobility that is provided by laptop.Desktop are good they are cost effective. But the option of mobility make laptop more preferable then desktop.

Laptops are much better than Desktops. My laptop is just like my office and I can connect to internet anytime, anywhere. I think that is a big advantage and I don't need to go home or office to perform my necessary online tasks.

Yeah i say laptops are better, they are smaller and you can use them anywhere. If its nice weather u can work out the garden or the park etc. Desktops are bulky and stuck in one place.

I actually live on my laptop i dont have a desktop anymore i find it so much easier with a laptop because of mobility it makes it easier for me to do all my uni work. I have a small external hardrive which suits me for extra storage too and from uni and then i have a 250GB larger external at home to store everything on it.

i'd have to say desktop. for one, they're easier to repair when something breaks down, contrary to the laptop, and they are cheaper to upgrade. Also, a top of the line desktop will beat any laptop hands down when it comes to performance.

Both are very different in many aspects. Personally I like to use one computer and i.e my Laptop. I think it is very difficult to manage stuff on more than one computer. It would be better if you can work on one computer.

I've never owned a laptop so I can only answer this question from the perspective of a desktop owner. I decided to opt for a desktop because: - The big reason that they are more affordable - They are a lot easier to upgrade - Spilling coffee on the keyboard doesn't ruin the system - They seem a lot more durable than a laptop - They're more difficult to rob esp. at university
Naturally there are cons as well: - They are not portable - They take up more space than a laptop would

I have a laptop and more than one desktop. I bring my laptop along with me everytime i travel, i need it for my daily work. Laptop will be more convenience to use if you are not at home, of course the speed can't beat my desktop.

I use a laptop, but unfortunately, I don't have a good enough graphics card on it to play Knights of the Old Republic, which is LAAAAME, so I am in desperate need of a desktop. A laptop is brilliant, I can bring it whenever I stay over my parents and watch Lost or whatever. I would be happy with both. Also, unfortunately, my left (<-)key isn't working, so I am incapable of playing Worms on my laptop, and they don't even have a 'change keys' option on that game. I repeat, LAAAAME

I have Laptop and Desktop computers. I use laptop on foruming, chatting, travelling. Games, photoshop - on desktop. It has better keyboard and monitor.
Laptop vs Desktop = 50% vs 50%
