Which browser you are using, Firefox or Internet Explorer? I have read that more than 80% of internet surfers use Internet Explorer. There is no doubt that FF is getting popularity very quickly. You can analyze it from my stats that more than 50 percent of users on my site use FF (I can check these vis Google Analytics).

I think most of the webmasters and people who are aware of firefox are using it, whereas all the home users are still with internet explorer. IE team is also working really hard in making the browser easy and user friendly.

Only thing I don't like about firefox is that a lot of online application are not compatible with it. I tried filling forms on few websites where javascript code wasn't compatible

I personally like Internet Explorer now because it has the tabs just like firefox (they upgraded to IE7). Other than that, Firefox has more security, so if you're paranoid about trojans or viruses, you should go with firefox. Because I already have antiviruses and other things, I just use IE.

can you please clarify in what way you think IE6 is better than IE7. the only reason IE7 came out was because everyone was fed up of IE6 and the security holes in it. atleast with IE7 there are less patches and security vulnerabilities. like i said before, i think everyone should start using opera for day to day activities, it has such a small memory footprint as compared to IE and/or firefox. i once tried safari on windows - uninstalled it within 5 minutes. that was the worst browser i ever tried. sorry apple fanboys but a fact is a fact. safari plain sucks.

i am also webdesigner. when i finished my website, and open in FIrefox, i saw, its shows borders and many problems with alignments. i think IE is best than Firefox, if you are making sites in Front page.

Are you kidding us? There are remarkable features in IE7. They include tab browsing and spell checker as well just like FF, I am using FF though.

I use both due to the fact the some of my work apps only work with IE.  That's Microsoft for you, they write their "java" apps so they only work with MS java and IE!

Definitely Firefox, i mean, with all the spyware and everything that's out there waiting to infiltrate your system, internet explorer just isn't secure enough , not to mention tabbed browsing.

Amazingly people from all around the world like FF. I always prefer other browsers over IE. When FF was not being introduced, I was using Netscape. I think MS products are being beaten up by competitors, they are best in OS though.
