LCD all the way.  Who's got space to fit a CRT on their desk any more?  Plus they use a ton more energy to run them.  LCD prices continue to drop, and it's at the point that they aren't much more than a CRT any longer.

Obviously there is no room for CTR monitors. I shall use it only if I shall have a low budget or if I shall need to use some big screen monitor.

I voted LCD but i actually have both. to be honest, i've had a nightmare trying to calibrate the LCD screen for graphics work. sure LCDs are pretty and slim but CRTs do deliver when it comes to color critical work.

I am agreed and that is the big disadvantage. Graphic softwares run on CTR very well and I shall prefer to have big screen CTR monitor.

I have a flatscreen CRT monitor.  I think people who jump to conclusions thinking it's old fashioned to have CRTs don't really know much about CRTs? Tongue

I've had this monitor for years and it's excellent (HP).  I'd move to an LCD only if I were space-conscious but I don't have a problem with the CRT in terms of performance.

I am still using my old LCD monitor. The brand is Samsung SyncMaster 959NF. I bought it around 5 years ago and yet still in very good condition. I really respect the technology from Korea.

I can't afford LCD so I still own CTR. I think there is nothing wrong with that. I have noticed that LCDs show very bad behavior sometimes. CTR monitors are more reliable than LCDs.
