Lots of great movies today have actually been made out of books by great authors.  Many people would rather watch the movies but according to those who prefer to read the books: they're always leaving out some parts...

Would you rather watch the movie or read the book?

I'd rather watch the movie tbh, I'm not a fan of reading.

It is a different matter if someone don't like Books but Books are much better than movies. I have read all Harry Potter books and have seen all movies but books are much better.

I will gladly concede that the books will always be better than the movies, but sadly, it is much more convenient to just pop a dvd into the player, sit back, grab a beer and watch the darn thing.

Interesting. I would equate Fight Club the book as good as Fight Club the movie. I would, however, say all Harry Potter books are better than their film versions. I'm also pretty sure I am not alone with agreement that the bond films are much better than the books

Yes you are right. Look at the mess they made with the Da Vinci Code. the movie was a shocker as compared to the book. I love reading and I wonder why hollywood makes a mess of such good books. the only movie that I think was good as compared to its book was the Bourne Identity.

Books are far better than movies. I have read all Harry Potter series and have watched movies. I think there is no alternative for books. Movies are good just for a few hours entertainment but books always effects very deeply.

It is fun to watch movies which are being produced by some books and novels. I think such movies get popularity rapidly because readers of books always curious about that. More often people like to watch their imagination in form of movies.

I believe that to day people do not have enough time for book reading because life is becoming more and more difficult .A book which a person can read in a month to get knowledge he can get it in few hours by seeing a movie made out of any book.

i think its a shame that people have time to listen to an ipod and hear the same songs again and again, yet dont have time to read a book. i travel to work everyday on public transport and i have an ipod as well. but i prefer to read a book as time goes by so quickly and its more interesting than listening to the same song and looking out the window.

You are  very right and I am agreed with you. I believe in books and these are the best source of seeking knowledge. I can't ignore books in my life because these are as alive as our life.

We can not suggest that book reading and movie based on that book ,what is better to have .reading of the book or seeing the movie but i think instead of reading the book people like to see movie the reason behind this is very simple time is short and competition is hard.
